What's New in STHENO/PRO Version 5.1?

New in STHENO/PRO 2D Drafting

STHENO/PRO’s new area fill option provides visual clarity in 2D designs

New Area Fill Option
From version 5.1 of STHENO/PRO, all closed line geometry can be area filled in accordance with its line colour – a new option which improves the clear representation of technical data and the general handling of geometry or specific areas within a design. Any colour fill is maintained when importing from or exporting to DXF or DWG.

Enhanced Structure Tree
Version 5.1 introduces new display and usability enhancements in the structure tree. Among other things it now provides special groups with adjustable parameters for grouping certain elements (such as dimensions and crosshatches) together in a single element on one level, and merely displaying the total count.

CADConvert DXF/DWG (AutoCAD®) Interface Enhancements
From version 5.1, any colour fill is maintained when importing from or exporting to DXF or DWG. Graphical OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) objects embedded in any DXF/DWG files imported into STHENO/PRO are represented as raster images for Windows users, and as a frame on other platforms. Autodesk Inventor 2D elements can now also be imported. AutoCAD MLINE (multiple line) elements are exploded to a set of STHENO/PRO lines on import. A new “connectlines” command now also controls if lines in imported drawings, meeting certain conditions, are automatically connected. The CADConvert interface offers full support for the DXF/DWG format from AutoCAD R12 through AutoCAD 2012.

New in STHENO/PRO Add-On Products

STHENO/IMAGE: Raster Display & Viewing Enhancements
The STHENO/IMAGE module now offers improved performance when working with large black and white or colour raster images. A new license option allows users simply to view the raster data used within a design when raster editing functionality is not required.

Operating Systems and Configurations Supported

Pro/ENGINEER® Wildfire and Creo Support
From version 5.1 STHENO/PRO offers full support for Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3, 4 and 5; Creo Elements/Pro; and Creo Parametric 1.0 (for the 64bit as well as 32bit versions under Windows® XP Professional and Windows 7 Professional). On Solaris, we support the STHENO/PRO integration with Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3 and 4.

Windchill® PDMLink™ 9.1 Support
From version 5.1 the STHENO/LINK™ Windchill PDMLink integration offers full support for Windchill PDMLink 9.1.
